Why Healing Yourself First is Essential Step to Living in Your Greatness

activating-the-healing-powers-of-your-being-2Hello fellow passangers on this life journey, this is a guest blog by lovely Francesca Gordon-Smith who shares her thoughts on why healing ourselves first is essential to Living in Your Greatness. It is something that resonates with me, a journey I had to take, and it is what I too teach all of my clients who wish to break free from the corporate world and become entrepreneurs, coaches, healers, etc. I trust you will enjoy as much as I did, here it goes….

The relationships we have with others really do determine the quality of our lives. Imagine for a moment someone just like you; she has a big argument over nothing with her partner just before leaving for work. She gets to work and the same thing happens again; she has a disagreement with a colleague and finds herself in an awful mood; she experiences negative repeated thoughts, such as “They are so disrespectful”, “They are so wrong”.  She considers breaking up with her partner and leaving her job; it is all just too unbearable.

Let Love Lead You

Below post was written as a holiday spiritual boost!

I’m writing this blog from my studio flat in Pimlico as I am watching the world go by from my living room window and going back and forward into my kitchen ensuring that the chestnuts I put earlier on under the grill are roasted to perfection.

Chestnuts

If you are just like me and love chestnuts I am sure you are right now using your imagination and you can smell the very aromas that are surrounding me right now.

Last night I was out with Daniel, a very close friend that I have known since my university days in the mid 90’s. Our conversation turned into a coaching session as he shared with me his recent experience of letting go some of the feelings that have held him back in his love life. What was interesting is that despite the healing process he underwent, as he continued to share with me I was able to pick up in his language the subconscious limited beliefs that hold him back that sabotaged the healing process bringing him back to square one. Through our chat I helped him identify the exact words he used and the energetic meaning, the beliefs he currently held and helped him create new positive affirmations to re program his subconscious mind. We also went through  some centring exercises to open his heart to love. Read More — Let Love Lead You

Power of Gratitude

I just got back from a charity bike ride cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia, little I knew when I signed up what was there to come, who I would meet on this trip, and the places I would visit and the people I would meet there. The image I had of Vietnam was one of “ Miss Saigon” and the many movies I have seen and the news I have over the years about the war there. As for Cambodia only what I have seen through the eyes of Angelina Jolly.

The most two significant things that made a foot print in my heart is cycling through the lanes, villages and people’s front door and the simplicity of the way they showed their gratitude and love, with a simple “Hello”. The second was each and every person who was part of this trip; all in their own way contributed to making this trip a very special one for me. Losing my special sunglasses during a trip to a bird sanctuary became a special powerful symbol to some on this trip that needed to be reminded in the power of gratitude and positive thinking, (you know who you are:))! Despite all of the odds I ended up getting them back, that is a story on its own, in short not only I found them but also I was invited to a food feast, shots of rice wine and was sang at a dinner table by the family that owned the sanctuary, an amazing experience not to forget. I am grateful to you all and to all the people in Vietnam, Cambodia and around the planet. Read More — Power of Gratitude

Understand & Heal Your Fear

The 5 most common fears!

Through the many energy healing and coaching sessions i have had as well as reading my souls sisters blog about fear, I got inspired in writing about the 5 most common fears that most people face.

Which one’s affecting You?

No matter what subconscious fear you’re experiencing, it almost always falls into one of 5 categories. Take a few moments to read the descriptions below and see if any of these have popped up in your life.

1 Fear of success

You’re a doer. You’ve got the brains and the potential to move mountains. But you’ve also got this pesky habit of wanting to avoid the spotlight no matter what.

In meetings, you’d rather say silent than voice out your amazing idea. You fear power and leadership, because you’ve seen others hurt by it.

You know you could earn more money, but you’re paralyzed by self-doubt and procrastination. When you think about your past, there may be one or two incidents where your friends or family members were jealous of you and your accomplishments.

2 Fear of failure

You’re capable of great things, if only you’d get off your butt and do them!

You self-sabotage through behaviours like procrastination, being late and starting conflicts, all because you’re always asking yourself: “what if I try my best and I still fail?”.

You’re often known as the person who has their heart in the right place, but has trouble getting things done. When a new career or business opportunity comes along, you find it hard to stay excited for long.

And because of your tendency for leaving things unfinished, there’s a high chance you have dozens of half-read books on your bookshelf.

3 Fear of change

You know change is necessary for your personal growth – but you often can’t help but shy away from it in favor of the choices you’re familiar with. At work, you’re known as the one who plays it safe.

You may have a reputation for being reliable, but you’re rarely the one who comes up with game-changing ideas. You crave security and love the consistency of your routine. At home, your friends and family might even call you stubborn for always sticking to your ways. Oh, and you’re not very fond of surprises.

4 Fear of losing your identity

You’re able to accept yourself for who you are today, but you’re worried about changing and losing yourself along the way. You’re reluctant to push for more money at work, because you’re afraid spirituality and wealth don’t mix.

People may know you as a good person, but you’re rarely described as charismatic or forward-thinking. By sticking to who you are instead of who you could be, you find yourself missing out on a variety of career and financial opportunities.

When you see people with the abundance you know you could have, you may experience an uncontrollable feeling of resentment towards them.

5 Fear of unworthiness

You’re an intelligent, talented and likable person. Yet despite your strengths, you’re constantly worried of what others think about you. At work, you’re worried your co-workers will “find out” you’re unworthy of your role.

You may find yourself going out of your way to please other people and do unnecessary favours for them, just so they don’t think badly of you.

You often feel guilty for no apparent reason, and you may have this automatic habit of brushing away people’s compliments – no matter how sincere they are.
